Celebrating 30 Years: Silas Danielson’s Perspective
30 years ago, attorneys Julia Ketcham Corbett and Silas Danielson stepped through our office doors and never looked back. For three decades, these distinguished professionals and incredible people have learned, grown, and worked at Blethen Gage & Krause (now Blethen Berens).
As a testament to and celebration of their hard work, we’re reflecting on the years of dedication that Julia and Silas have given to this community.
Before closing out 2024 and heading into 2025, let’s look at Silas’s evolution, proudest moments, and fondest memories.
Q: How has your law practice changed through the years?
A: Technology in general, but Covid was a big change. Most hearings are now being done via Zoom. I miss going to the courthouses.
Q: What made your practice more difficult?
A: I’d say dealing with attorneys who think everything their client says is the truth.
Q: What made it easier?
A: Technology has made me much more efficient.
Q: What do you wish you knew then that you know now?
A: I wish I had known what I do know about how to screen cases well.
Q: As you look back on 30 years, is there anything you think or wish you had done differently?
A: I would have been a better marketer and not be afraid to ask for business.
Q: What do you remember from your first day?
A: I remember starting my first day with Julia. I was probably feeling a little nervous and lucky to have a job!
Q: What is your favorite memory of working with each other?
A: I am grateful that I have always had someone on my side, no matter what. We have always been supportive of each other as work partners.
Q: If you could say one thing to each other now as a tribute to 30 years, what would you say?
A: Julia, I want to thank you for being an awesome work partner and friend for the past 30 years!
